Info

With the Part 4 of our popular compilation series we finish the hustle and bustle around our lively and colorful topic of Psychobilly nation tours. After exploring the East German, North German and Austrian regions, the exciting tour takes us now into the sphere of our beautiful southern republic. The team led by “DT-METRONOME - Schlager nach 6:6:6” proudly presents a hot mix of Psychobilly and rough Neo-Rockabilly. This time you can find on the compilation:

THE TONY MONTANAS, OUT OF LUCK, THE GRAVE STOMPERS und CAT O' NINE TAILS .

Each band presents three songs that were recorded mostly exclusive to the sampler. In between, there are very funny intros / interludes that show the charming language of the southern plains. As always, star graphic artist NORMAN WINTER (THEE FLANDERS) is responsible for the beautiful artwork of the digi-pack. A grand finale for the quite popular compilation series!

The CD comes in a lavishly produced digi-pack in full color with a transparent tray and lots of photos. The edition is strictly limited to only 999 pieces this time.

Bandinfos:

CAT O' NINE TAILS (Baden-Wuerttemberg)

CONT were founded in 1992 by Marco, Alex, Stefan and Boris … but insiders know that they actually just renamed their Rockabilly band they had founded in 1990 into CONT because their style changed more and more to Psychobilly. Since then the band played many concerts … more and more in front of Psychobilly audiences. In 1994 they released the EP "Sign of Fire" on Mental Disorder. In 1995 CONT won the national junior contest "Rock Over" with a spectacular finale at the Stuttgart Theaterhaus. Many concerts (e.g. Meantraitors, Phantom Rockers, Mad Sin or Batmobile) and festival appearances (e.g. Munich Psychobilly Festival and Berlin Wildcat Weekend) followed. Towards the end of 1996 CONT recorded new songs that had more of a punk rock and alternative sound. Early 1997 CONT had a TV appearance and everything seemed to go well, but internal and musical discrepancies led to a sudden split in the summer of 1997. 2003 they played a couple of live gigs again and re-recorded 2 old tracks for the "Zombies From Mars" compilation. Nevertheless, it took CONT 13 long years to reunite. So their first official live appearance in 13 years was in June 2009. Marc joined them as the new bass player, other than that the line-up stayed the same: Marco sings, Alex plays the guitar and Stefan on drums. They recorded new songs in 2010 of which two appeared on the "Dynamite" and "Psycho Mania 'magazine samplers and three other pieces were recorded exclusively for the" Psychobilly Ratpack sampler ". TONY MONTANAS (Baden-Wuerttemberg)

These mental guys from the Remstal valley have been playing as the Tony Montanas since 2002 and since 2010 the line-up is: Vocals/Guitar: Tony Blue Eyes…Vocals/Slap Bass: Tall Tony… Drums/Backups: Tony Chaos.

Here´s a few direct quotes about the songs:

New School, Old School? - No School! Why are all the lyrics in German? - Why not!

„Dei Mudder sei Gesicht“ …is Swabia’s first Zombie/ Road movie and a must see. It was about time for a song written about it. Please watch this movie…it´s an important part of Remstal valley history just as Spaetzle (swabian pasta) and a Viertele (glass of wine)…

„Geisterpunk“ …this is about „ghost punks“!! Like them or not…it doesn´t matter, they´re definitely worth a song…

„Fick Dich“…Fick Dich!!! …or how would Tony say it? "Is that all that I get for working so hard, Manny? Eating, drinking, fucking, licking, snorting?"

All songs were recorded in 2010 at the Esperanza in Schwaebisch Gmuend by Felix SGHC

Edited in 2011 by Smuk/Detonators. You can reach the boys here www.tonymontanas.de.

GRAVE STOMPERS (Bavaria)

Since late 1993 the trio (initially there were some line-up changes on drums and vocals) has been playing at festivals and various gigs with many "old" and "new" bands from the Psychobilly and Rock’n ‘Roll genre. The sound is like traditional 80s Psychobilly - no compromise. A certain morbid charm can be guessed from a certain fondness for classic b/w horror movies, but the guys don´t make a secret about it. Whether as headliner or support, you can see and listen to the Stompers not only in their hometown of Munich but also at gigs in Germany and Europe. After four albums, two split 7 "and a 4-track 7", as well as some compilation contributions, the band is working now on new songs for the next album release. The date for that will not be revealed yet, but the line-up: Martin - Drums … Holzi - Double Bass / B Voice … Gernot - Guitar / Lead voice. OUT OF LUCK (Bavaria)

OUT OF LUCK were founded in autumn of 2007 by Karl „Cloey“ K. (well-known from playing the bass for bands like the Frantic Flintstones) and Beppo and Flopez’. OOL is a wild mixture of Rock n’ Roll and Psychobilly, played with the energy of Punkrock. It´s about time for pure, rough Rock n’ Roll…that´s the idea of the band. Lyrics like „pissed of from everyday’s shit“, „I’m stranded…” or „for a few bucks…“are typical for OUT OF LUCK. After releasing their successful debut album „Out Of Luck“ in 2008 and after numerous gigs at home and abroad, the band released their second album „Walking down 10th street“ in 2009. Their diversity shows in the bands they play gigs with like Mad Sin, Batmobile and Frenzy or even bands like The Forgotten or the V8 Wankers. The band can look back on highlights like playing at „Psychomania Rumble“, at the „Psychobilly Meeting“ in Spain or at the „Bedlam Breakout“ in England.

The line-up is: Karl „Cloey“ K. - bull fiddle/Vox…Flopez’ - guitar/back Vox…Beppo - drums. Frans Strummer recorded the 3 songs for the Psychobilly Ratpack Sampler on a rainy weekend in autumn of 2010 at the Silo1 in Toeging. More Info here: http://www.myspace.com/outofluckrnr
